Remembrance Sunday

Fittingly perhaps, I have today published the final 3 research articles for our village War Memorial.

James Meechan - who was killed during the retreat to Dunkirk in 1940 and has no known grave, but is commemorated further on the Dunkirk memorial.

Reginald Taylor - of the Green Howards, who lies in Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Sidney Temple - killed in action fighting a rear-guard action against Erwin Rommel's panzers.
